Summary of Discussion:

Projects

1. KACH guest cottage-
-possible upgrade of interior of KACH 2nd floor with dan/ kim? if needed?
-possible/ test prototype
-what is the program

see notes below :
"I will ask Silas to send you photos. It is a 2 acre lot and it is rectangular running from the road leading out to town from the Church to the back of the house neighboring KACH to the West.

I am thinking of building it in phases - like begin with the front part and one cottage of one single room; one double room; and one room that can hold four beds. Each of these cottages (Type A)  will hold 7-8 people. So we will have 2 such cottages - Type A (total of 14 or 16 people when full) and some cottages (3: Type B) on their own that are single, self-contained (ensuite) [3 people or 6 maximum when we have couples] and 3 cottages - Type C - that are double (can hold 2 single beds, ie. double) for people wanting to share a room (maximum 9 people, minimum 6 people). Over all, we can host up to 38 people but the average comfortable number is 30 people for 8 cottages.

We can begin with 2 cooks (and in the beginning we can cook for them at KACH with one additional cook - so they can eat with the kids - hope we will have good cookers by then); one cottages cleaner, and one outside cleaner - that is 4 staff.

If we have 10 people every 2 months and each pays $100 per week sharing room, that is $ 1,000 x 8 weeks that is $8,000 per 2 months or $4,000 per month. There will be months when we have fewer people and others when we have more people - so on average every year we can make up to $48,000 minimum. We can have he space be used for other activities to for a charge e.g. conferences and other meetings as well as a retreat center.

I would like the Amani GH to be simple but elegant, with lots of bushes and greenery ETC."
